Welcome

The Institution of Engineers (India), IEI, is the first professional body of engineers founded in India incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935 to promote and advance the art, science and practice of engineering and technology. From a humble beginning in 1920, it is today a multi-disciplinary professional body - the largest body of its kind with international status and bilateral relations with many sister societies round the world.

IEI represents India in several international bodies, such as World Mining Congress (WMC), World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), Commonwealth Engineers' Council (CEC), International Federation of Prestressed Concrete (FIP), and Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA). The council of the Institution of the Engineers of India established on an overseas chapter in the State of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf in July 1991 for the benefit of its members residing and practising engineering profession in Qatar. The jurisdiction of the Qatar Chapter shall be the geographical boundaries of the State of Qatar. The Qatar Chapter operates under the sponsorship of the Indian Embassy in Qatar and under the patronage of the Ambassador of India. More...

Flow Metering Solutions Discussed
Qatar Chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India) in association with Jaidah Group and its principals Invensys Middle East held a seminar on the latest advances in flow metering technology on 18-May-2007 at the Ramada Hotel. Qatar Chapter of the Institution of Engineers ( India ), the largest professional body in the world, held its annual general body meeting on 20-Jan (Sat) at the Qatar Malayali Samajam Hall. The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the Chairman UU Menon.
